James Pfahl

Director

James completed a Bachelor of Law (Hons) from Leicester University in 1993.  He began his consulting career in the UK in 1997 where he joined a global recruitment company in London and was successful in launching of a new legal recruitment team for the London market. In 2001 James moved to Australia and joined the in-house legal team at Morgan & Banks where he quickly and successfully built relationships with many of the major law firms in Melbourne.

James joined Hamilton James & Bruce legal team in 2002 with a focus on permanent search work for major law firm clients in Melbourne and Sydney.  In 2004 James headed the Melbourne legal team and in 2005 was promoted to National Head of Legal in Australia. In 2007 James joined Mallesons Stephen Jaques as the National Resourcing Manager, where he was responsible for managing the recruitment teams and strategies of attracting first class lawyers into Mallesons.

James joins SR Search as a Director in mid 2008 with a focus on senior appointments across the Asia Pacific region.
