Paul Griffin, Senior Adviser

Paul is a highly experienced oil & gas lawyer and was formerly a partner at leading law firms Allen & Overy, Herbert Smith, Cadwalader, Ashurst and Dentons, having a central role in the international energy practice of each of these firms. Paul is now a Senior Adviser to the international oil & gas practice of White & Case. He is also Professor at the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy at the University of Dundee.

With over 30 years' experience in the sector, Paul has worked on the deals and disputes of the global oil & gas business. He has also been involved in related matters of public law and competition law. He writes and speaks regularly on the issues and developments of the law and global oil & gas industry and is the consulting editor of the leading text, "The Law and Business of LNG".

Among other accolades, Paul has been named Global Oil & Gas Lawyer of the Year by Who's Who Legal as well as World's Leading Energy Lawyer by Expert Guides: Best of the Best.

Paul is Vice-Chair of the Oil and Gas Law Committee of the International Bar Association and a member of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators and the Institute of Energy Law. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and a CEDR Accredited Mediator.
